Mystery Meadows is looking for general volunteers to assist with animal care taking, habitat restoration, and other hands-on activities!
Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- Passion for animals and their well being
- Willing and able to perform all responsibilities, including some strenuous physical labor
- A willingness to learn, accept direction, and to follow protocols
- Vegan friendly
Responsibilities
- Feed the animal residents
- Observe behaviors and get to know each animal
- Daily cleaning tasks of animal’s housing
- Support staff during health checks and treatments
- Maintaining plantlife (watering, pruning, planting)
- Environmental Restoration of sanctuary ecosystem
- Assist with farm errands, supply runs
- Exhibit a professional demeanor
- Be an advocate for animals rights, environmental protection, and other social justice movements
Out of respect for the animal residents at Mystery Meadows and our organization’s mission, no animal products (food, clothing, etc.) are allowed on sanctuary grounds. All volunteers must be able to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccine and be willing to wear a mask while working alongside others.
